Kieffer Walks Across America - Via Virtual

On January 1, 2004, I began my virtual walk across America following U.S. Route 50 in my road atlas. I tranfered to this on-line journal in Jul 04. The trip started at Ocean City, Maryland, and ended in San Francisco, Dec 14th, 2009. (3,127) miles. Recorded in this weblog was miles walked, destinations reached, interesting links, and personal reflections. Stopped and restarted a few times, but enjoyed the trip - venturing along this transcontinental Main Street.

Labor Day - total miles 800

I had to walk 7 miles today to bring my total walked this year to 800 miles. I am now 25% complete in my journey to walk Route 50, coast to coast. Total miles will be 3200. Hope to be in Loogootee, IN,by the map, tomorrow. Felt good after walk. Great weather.
