Kieffer Walks Across America - Via Virtual

On January 1, 2004, I began my virtual walk across America following U.S. Route 50 in my road atlas. I tranfered to this on-line journal in Jul 04. The trip started at Ocean City, Maryland, and ended in San Francisco, Dec 14th, 2009. (3,127) miles. Recorded in this weblog was miles walked, destinations reached, interesting links, and personal reflections. Stopped and restarted a few times, but enjoyed the trip - venturing along this transcontinental Main Street.

Moving towards Vincennes - 833

"Indiana records show that just one person, Richard Bernard Skelton, was born July 18th, 1913, inside the house at 111 West Lyndale Avenue in Vincennes, Indiana. However, many believe several others were born in that humble house on the same date and all earned fame like Skelton. There was contry bumplin Clem Kadiddlehopper, Junior the Mean Widdle Kid, Lovable hobo Freddy the Freeloader and many more." Walked 5 miles today on trail.
