Kieffer Walks Across America - Via Virtual

On January 1, 2004, I began my virtual walk across America following U.S. Route 50 in my road atlas. I tranfered to this on-line journal in Jul 04. The trip started at Ocean City, Maryland, and ended in San Francisco, Dec 14th, 2009. (3,127) miles. Recorded in this weblog was miles walked, destinations reached, interesting links, and personal reflections. Stopped and restarted a few times, but enjoyed the trip - venturing along this transcontinental Main Street.

Moving west on Rt. 50 - 887

Next town "up" is Clay City. Read about some strange sightings and resident's experiences with mysterious creatures in Illinois: GATORS, LIONS & PHANTOM KANGAROOS! Walked 5 miles on treadmill today while watching NFL football. Is that an example of multi-tasking?
