Kieffer Walks Across America - Via Virtual

On January 1, 2004, I began my virtual walk across America following U.S. Route 50 in my road atlas. I tranfered to this on-line journal in Jul 04. The trip started at Ocean City, Maryland, and ended in San Francisco, Dec 14th, 2009. (3,127) miles. Recorded in this weblog was miles walked, destinations reached, interesting links, and personal reflections. Stopped and restarted a few times, but enjoyed the trip - venturing along this transcontinental Main Street.

Nearing Vincennes - 838 miles

Walked 5 miles on treadmill due to rain. These calories I am burning make up for a lot of eating mistakes as the day goes forward. I hope your computers audio can pick up Red Skelton reciting the "Pledge of Allegiance" Inspiring. Red Skelton Museum and Performing Arts Center
