Kieffer Walks Across America - Via Virtual

On January 1, 2004, I began my virtual walk across America following U.S. Route 50 in my road atlas. I tranfered to this on-line journal in Jul 04. The trip started at Ocean City, Maryland, and ended in San Francisco, Dec 14th, 2009. (3,127) miles. Recorded in this weblog was miles walked, destinations reached, interesting links, and personal reflections. Stopped and restarted a few times, but enjoyed the trip - venturing along this transcontinental Main Street.

Now 787 miles from Ocean City MD and moving west through Indiana on Route 50. Next town is Loogootee, In. Today, I walked 7 miles on local "rails to trails" path. This is where I walk most of my milage. Info: .Cycling Ohio's Rail-Trails & Bikeways - National Road Bikeway
