Kieffer Walks Across America - Via Virtual

On January 1, 2004, I began my virtual walk across America following U.S. Route 50 in my road atlas. I tranfered to this on-line journal in Jul 04. The trip started at Ocean City, Maryland, and ended in San Francisco, Dec 14th, 2009. (3,127) miles. Recorded in this weblog was miles walked, destinations reached, interesting links, and personal reflections. Stopped and restarted a few times, but enjoyed the trip - venturing along this transcontinental Main Street.

Smithton, MO - Outpouring - 1,175 miles

Smithon revival Three years ago, a revival broke out in Smithton. As a result, this Central Missouri community--population 532--has drawn tens of thousands of visitors from across the United States and from other nations.
