Kieffer Walks Across America - Via Virtual

On January 1, 2004, I began my virtual walk across America following U.S. Route 50 in my road atlas. I tranfered to this on-line journal in Jul 04. The trip started at Ocean City, Maryland, and ended in San Francisco, Dec 14th, 2009. (3,127) miles. Recorded in this weblog was miles walked, destinations reached, interesting links, and personal reflections. Stopped and restarted a few times, but enjoyed the trip - venturing along this transcontinental Main Street.

Wright, KS - Miles 1592 walked

Past the halfway point in "walk" - My journey from Ocean City, Md where Route 50 starts in the East to San Francisco is 3,200 hundred miles. So, I have also passed the half-way point of my virtual trip. I have finally solved the problem of my "Hello" function to post on this blog and hope to keep it "up and running". Planning to get some solid string of 5 miles days and researching Kansas as I "move" west.
